I end up just unplugging it rather than fooling with the dial to turn it off. This iron is nice for the price. It does squirt water a little strangely and the buttons are a little difficult to move. However, I still think it was worth the cost. It does the job.
This is a fantastic product. It is better than any iron I have owned. It is actually better than those more expensive models that really do not do anymore than this handy Proctor Silex.

and by the amount of leakage it had. After my Rowenta stopped working. coming from the soulplate and the water fill hole. My wife (who doesn't iron) brought this one home. I was a bit surprised at how light it was. there is no cover on it so what is to stop it from coming out there. It does keep spitting water and steam when placed in the up right position, so you could say it is a vertical steamer.
